Body and stress

Physical stress (e.g. injury) and emotional stress (e.g. depression) are factors that strongly affect our body posture, which automatically “tenses” under their influence (especially long-term). This has an effect on all systems: muscular, respiratory, hormonal, cardiovascular, digestive and nervous, as well as the fascial system, which “integrates” them all.

The body reacts habitually, and patterns of tension can lead to chronic pain states and other somatic symptoms over time, and ultimately to complete dysfunction of the body.

In the process of Structural Integration (spread over a number of sessions), “layer by layer” the deeper or more superficially embedded, ineffective body patterns are discovered and released, and the chronic tensions are reduced.
Overall, this process significantly improves motor coordination and a more confident sense of one’s own body posture.
